Nutritionist

One week before meeting your Nutritionist, keep a food log of everything you eat and drink. There are a couple free apps to help you keep track. Try downloading LoseIt or MyFitnessPal.

Of course, paper and pen work too. Create a simple system where you note the time and the specifics of what you had to eat and drink. If you are concerned about food allergies, note the symptoms.

Here’s what to bring to your first appointment.

  • Any current medications, prescriptions, vitamins, probiotics or other supplements you are taking. Write down the names  and dosages or bring the bottles with you.
  • A list of questions. This helps you remember what to ask, and gives the Nutritionist insight into your goals.
  • Your goals. Write out short term and long term goals, this allows your Nutritionist to coach you towards achieving them.
  • A positive attitude. We know sharing what you eat can feel intimidating. Trust your Nutritionist is on your side.
